About the Project
Meridian is replacing the existing Fruitland Canal fish-entrainment weir, control gates, and sluiceway with a new integrated diversion structure designed to improve water control and fish passage. The new work includes a weir wall separating the fish-sluice and overflow channels, concrete flume, retaining walls, steel and concrete walkways, control gates, pedestrian bridge, fencing, and a precast controls building.
Meridian self-performs 95% of the project, including excavation, earthwork, concrete structures, demolition, SWPPP, and miscellaneous civil work. The project requires careful execution within an environmentally sensitive waterway and a constrained construction season.
