Built to Solve Complex Infrastructure Challenges
Meridian delivers heavy civil and industrial construction across the Southwest through self-perform capability, disciplined execution, and a culture grounded in safety, integrity, and accountability.
Who We Are
Meridian is a heavy civil and industrial contractor serving public and private owners across the Southwest and Colorado. We deliver complex infrastructure work through a self-performing model that gives owners greater control, clearer accountability, and stronger schedule performance.
Our work spans earthwork, structural concrete, underground utilities, industrial, mining, roadway and bridge construction, flood control, site development, materials production, and specialized infrastructure scopes. We bring the field leadership, operational discipline, and construction capability required to perform where complexity is high and execution matters.
How We Grew
Founded in Tucson in 2003, Meridian was built to serve a growing need for capable, dependable infrastructure construction in the Southwest. What began as a local construction company expanded through disciplined growth, strong field leadership, and a commitment to doing difficult work well.
Today, Meridian supports projects across Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, and surrounding markets, with a reputation built on responsiveness, grit, and follow-through.
What Sets Meridian Apart
Meridian’s delivery model is built around controls, accountability, and execution. The following capabilities are central to how we support owners and deliver complex work.
Self-Perform Capability
We keep critical scopes in-house to maintain better control over quality, coordination, and schedule.
One-Team Accountability
Owners work with a team that owns outcomes rather than passing responsibility between multiple subcontracted scopes.
Alternative Delivery Experience
We support collaborative delivery models with strong preconstruction, practical field insight, and disciplined execution.
Southwest Infrastructure Focus
We understand the regulatory, environmental, logistical, and owner-side realities of building in this region.
We build trust through every project we complete.
What Drives Meridian
Our Mission, Vision, and Values define how we build, how we lead, and how we serve owners, employees, and communities. They are more than statements on a wall; they shape how we make decisions, work together, and deliver.
How We Work Together
Our Guiding Principles turn values into everyday behavior. They define how Meridian teams communicate, lead, follow through, and hold each other accountable in the field and in the office.
- Ensure Unconditional Integrity – we keep our word, own our actions, and never compromise our standards.
- Be One Team – ONE MERIDIAN is our commitment, caring more about the mission than individual territories.
- Hold Each Other Accountable – we call out behaviors respectfully, set clear expectations, and follow through until resolved.
- Own Everything – we take full responsibility for our commitments, communication, and results with no excuses.
- Follow Through Completely – when we commit, we deliver on time at quality promised and keep our word when it gets hard.
- Communicate With Urgency and Transparency – bad news early is better than bad news late, we pick up the phone.
- Be Direct and Treat Each Other With Respect – we address issues quickly and privately, focusing on solutions not personal attacks.
- Lead By Example – we show up prepared, communicate clearly, coach rather than judge, and model what we expect.
- Balance Speed With Collaboration – we move fast for emergencies but slow down when decisions impact multiple teams.
Recognized Leaders in Our Field
Driven by our core values of safety, quality, and schedule, Meridian is a leader in the field of heavy civil/industrial construction. Since our conception, we have been recognized in construction safety, taking home the Safety Award by the SCF of Arizona Workers’ Compensation Insurance for 2003-2004. In 2016, we were named as the winner of Excellence In Engineering and Construction for Arizona by the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC), followed by The State of Arizona 2017 Project of the Year award by the American Public Works Association (APWA). These accolades serve as a testament to our commitment to the communities we serve, delivering nothing short of excellence with each project we take on.
We deliver results that move projects forward.
Let’s Build What Matters
Whether the need is heavy civil, industrial, alternative delivery, or self-perform infrastructure capability, Meridian brings the people, systems, and field execution to move complex work forward.
