Founding Narrative
Meridian was founded more than 23 years ago with a straightforward purpose: build difficult civil work the right way and stand behind the outcome. Mark Sutton co-founded the company and later assumed full ownership, carrying forward a field-driven approach built on integrity, accountability, and doing what the project requires. What began as a smaller regional contractor has grown into a multi-state civil and industrial construction company with the crews, equipment, and experience to take on increasingly complex work.
Growth Trajectory
Meridian is entering its next stage of growth by strengthening its leadership, systems, field operations, and market presence. The goal is not growth for its own sake, but to build a stronger company that can take on larger and more complex projects while preserving the accountability, safety, and field credibility that built Meridian.
