About the Project
Meridian constructed a new high-water crossing at Vamori Wash for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, replacing an at-grade crossing that became impassable during rain and flood events. The new crossing was built to improve reliable access for Border Patrol operations on the Tohono O’odham Nation.
Meridian self-performed 86% of the project, including excavation, box culverts, articulated concrete mats, riprap placement, and related civil work. The project was delivered with zero change orders in a remote, environmentally sensitive wash corridor.
