About the Project
Meridian rehabilitated an existing railroad bridge repurposed as a pedestrian crossing for the Roaring Fork Transportation Authority. The work included shoring and jacking Pier 3, removing and replacing bridge timbers, reconstructing both abutments with cast-in-place concrete retaining walls, placing riprap, and restoring asphalt surfaces.
The project required dewatering and turbidity monitoring in an environmentally sensitive corridor and was completed in May 2024. Meridian self-performed 93% of the work, including earthwork, riprap placement, and concrete retaining walls.
