The Roaring Fork Bridge was built in the late 1800’s. It is a 5 span bridge on timber pile abutments/bents and concrete piers across the Roaring Fork River in Carbondale, CO. This project included installing temporary shoring and replacing the Timber Pier, replacing the abutment backfill, approach retaining walls and rails, north span floor beams, correction for sagging deck, repair to bridge decking and pier 4 cracking, and installation of anti-access systems.
