Standing as the best value bidder, the government placed their trust in Meridian Engineering to take on a vital piece of a large objective to provide reliable water to remote tribal villages. The Reach 22A Navajo Gallup Water Supply project began with obstacles due to the unpredictable, multi-season weather conditions, remote setting, and rock excavation and dewatering requirements.
By partnering with the government oversight team and pouring countless hours into developing a solution constructed per plans and specifications with thorough documentation of the project records, we achieved a successful resolution. Combining rock excavation with tailored, underground utilities, HPD fusion, dewatering, steel fabrication, steel tank erection, traffic control, and structural concrete measures, we were prosperous in connecting water supply lines to Cutter Reservoir. This included providing large diameter water lines for more than four miles with a half mile of HPD under the large wash riser at forbay tank, located at the western end.
