The city of Lawton was facing the potential of a high algae content in their drinking water storage system during periods of high heat. The algae count in the drinking water would have proven unfit for human consumption. Fortunately, with unrivaled cost value to the owner, Meridian Engineering’s competitive bid awarded us the opportunity to come on board this critical industrial project.
Our team recognized that the city’s drinking water supply called for additional chlorine treatments to restore the safety of the water for the residents. As such, we constructed a chlorine booster station, designed to dose chlorine into the main water supply based on test results from the municipal water department. Completed in a timely and efficient manner without interruption to local residents, the 67th Street Chlorine Booster Station was a remarkable success.
