We are seeking a Heavy Industrial Superintendent who combines technical expertise with people leadership.   • Lead field crews with professionalism, consistency, and accountability

  • Build strong relationships with teams, subcontractors, and clients through clear communication

  • Oversee installation of industrial piping, pumps, and mechanical systems

  • Coordinate structural steel and concrete work in support of mechanical installations

  • Plan schedules thoroughly, follow through on commitments, and ensure timely execution

  • Encourage participation and problem-solving by inviting input from the field

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, MSHA, and site-specific safety requirements

  • Model the behaviors that strengthen Meridian’s culture and align with company values

🛠️ A Day in the Life of a Superintendent:

  • Begin with a crew huddle focused on safety, schedules, and project goals

  • Lead daily walk-arounds to check jobsite conditions and ensure heavy equipment is inspected before use

  • Reinforce safe practices for trenching, fall protection, confined spaces, and material handling

  • Oversee piping, pump, or mechanical system installation at an active project site

  • Coordinate subcontractors, equipment, and material deliveries to maintain workflow

  • Inspect work for quality, safety, and adherence to industrial specifications

  • Maintain open communication with project managers, field staff, and owners

  • Wrap up the day with accurate reporting, reviewing progress, and preparing next steps

  • Projects delivered safely, on time, and within budget

  • Zero tolerance for unsafe practices; strong record of safety compliance and proactive prevention

  • Crews motivated by strong, respectful leadership and clear expectations

  • Effective implementation of fall prevention, trench safety, and job-specific safety controls

🧰 Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in industrial construction supervision (mining, water/wastewater, or similar)

  • Strong knowledge of industrial plumbing, piping systems, and pump installations

  • Familiarity with structural steel and concrete work in industrial environments

  • Proven ability to lead crews and manage subcontractors effectively

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative leadership style

  • Demonstrated ability to plan, execute, and deliver projects with consistency

  • Solid understanding of safety standards for industrial projects (OSHA/MSHA)

  • Ability to travel regionally to project sites in Arizona and New Mexico
