Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Haul Truck Driver to join our team in the heavy civil industry. This role is crucial for transporting oversized and heavy loads, including construction equipment and materials, to and from job sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling heavy-duty vehicles and a proven track record of safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate Heavy Haul Trucks: Drive and maneuver heavy haul trucks to transport large and oversized loads, including construction equipment, machinery, and materials.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all safety protocols are followed, including securing loads properly and adhering to transportation regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles.
• Route Planning: Plan and execute transportation routes considering load dimensions, weight restrictions, and road conditions. Coordinate with dispatch to optimize routes and schedules.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of delivery and transportation activities, including load manifests, delivery confirmations, and inspection reports.
• Communication: Maintain clear communication with dispatch, site managers, and other relevant personnel to provide updates on delivery status and address any issues that arise.
• Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients and site personnel, ensuring that deliveries are made on time and in good condition.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience driving heavy haul trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles in the heavy civil or construction industry.
• Licenses: Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with endorsements for heavy haul, and any other required certifications.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of safety regulations, load securing techniques, and vehicle maintenance. Excellent driving skills with the ability to handle oversized loads.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects, operate equipment in various weather conditions, and sit for extended periods.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with dispatch, clients, and team members.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail for load securing, route planning, and compliance with safety regulations.
