Meridian Contracting is a heavy civil contractor delivering earthwork, flood control, structural concrete, road construction, dewatering, mining maintenance, and other critical infrastructure projects across Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado. We’re seeking an experienced CDL Water Truck Driver to support our field operations. This role plays a vital part in dust control, compaction, and overall project efficiency, keeping our job sites safe, productive, and compliant.

✅ Successful Team Members in This Role Will…

  • Operate and maintain a construction water truck safely and efficiently

  • Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle readiness

  • Coordinate with site supervisors to deliver water where and when it’s needed

  • Maintain accurate logs for water usage, fueling, and maintenance activities

  • Navigate active construction zones, uneven terrain, and variable weather conditions

  • Represent Meridian with professionalism, communication, and a safety-first mindset

🛠️ A Day in the Life of a Water Truck Driver:

  • Start with a pre-trip inspection and review of daily project needs

  • Transport and distribute water for dust control, compaction, and other jobsite needs

  • Communicate with field teams to adjust delivery locations and priorities

  • Operate safely around equipment, crews, and active work areas

  • Wrap up the day with fueling, post-trip inspections, and required documentation

🧰 Qualifications:

  • Valid CDL with Tanker Endorsement (N or X) required

  • Experience operating water trucks in construction environments

  • Clean driving record with a strong dedication to safety

  • Ability to operate on rough, uneven, or changing terrain

  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail

  • Team-oriented, dependable, and committed to quality work

⭐ Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with basic vehicle maintenance or minor mechanical troubleshooting

  • Ability to work in challenging outdoor conditions (heat, dust, weather exposure)
