Automotive Mechanic

(As of 01/27/26) We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our service team. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a fleet of vehicles—primarily Dodge, Ford and Chevrolet pickup trucks—while ensuring high-quality workmanship and reliability. The ideal candidate is technically strong, detail-oriented, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

· Diagnostics & Repair
Perform detailed diagnostic testing to identify mechanical, electrical, and performance issues. Repair or replace components including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.

· Preventive Maintenance
Conduct routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks to maximize vehicle uptime and performance.

· Vehicle Testing
Perform road tests and inspections to verify repairs and ensure vehicles meet operational and safety standards.

· Documentation & Recordkeeping
Maintain accurate service records including work performed, parts used, and labor time for maintenance tracking and warranty compliance.

· Troubleshooting
Utilize diagnostic tools and technical expertise to identify efficient and cost-effective repair solutions.

· Parts & Inventory Management
Order required parts, track inventory, and ensure proper tools and equipment are available and maintained.

· Safety Compliance
Follow all safety procedures and protocols when working with tools, equipment, and hazardous materials.

· Shop Organization
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, ensuring tools and work areas are properly stored and maintained.

Qualifications

· Experience
Minimum of 2–3 years of experience as an automotive mechanic with demonstrated diagnostic and repair capabilities.

· Technical Skills
Proficient with diagnostic software, hand tools, and specialized automotive repair equipment. Experience with multiple vehicle makes and models preferred.

· Certifications
ASE certification or equivalent is preferred but not required. Ongoing training and professional development are encouraged.

· Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational automotive training is a plus.

· Attention to Detail
Ability to perform precise inspections and repairs while meeting quality standards.

· Problem-Solving Skills
Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities with sound judgment under time constraints.

· Physical Requirements
Ability to lift heavy parts, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods. Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments.

· Teamwork
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

· Job Type: Full-Time
· Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10-hour shifts
