Feliz Paseo Universal Accessibility Park
This $843,000 project for Pima County involved the construction of a 50 acre universal accessibility park for use by handicapped people. It is one of the first facilities of this type constructed in the United States. The project involved the construction of a one-quarter mile paved loop road, a one mile natural trail, three shade structures and a large ramada with restroom facilities, all of which are designed to allow wheelchair access to experience nature up close. The project was completed in 2006.
